Mongolia and Buryatia Seek More Trade and Transport Cooperation
Prime Minister N. Uchral met Head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexey Tsydenov during the Eastern Economic Forum to discuss cross-border trade, transport and business cooperation. The Mongolian side highlighted the interim trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union, which provides tariff relief or exemptions for 367 product lines, and the importance of the Sukhbaatar–Naushki and Altanbulag–Kyakhta crossings. Mongolia also raised possible coal exports from Baganuur and Sharyn Gol, while Buryatia expressed interest in Mongolian meat and cashmere and proposed cooperation on the School 21 information-technology training project.
