Education Minister Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren met John Juhyun Jeong, the Asian Development Bank's newly appointed country director for Mongolia. The minister outlined reforms intended to improve education quality and access, reduce the gap between urban and rural schools, support teacher development, strengthen school management and evaluation, and accelerate digital transition.

The meeting also covered vocational education linked to labor-market demand, science and technology learning in general education, and systems to prevent gender-based violence and protect students in schools and dormitories. Mongolia expressed an expectation that a USD 130 million loan agreement for a second additional financing package in the education sector could be finalized and signed during the ADB president's visit in September.
