Khaan Quest 2026 ended with a closing ceremony at the Five Hills Training Facility near Ulaanbaatar on July 3. According to the U.S. Army, the Mongolian Armed Forces hosted approximately 1,300 participants from 18 nations in the 23rd iteration of the multinational exercise. U.S. Army Pacific served as co-sponsor.
The program combined command-post and field training focused on peacekeeping operations, disaster relief, civil-unrest response, casualty care and communication among multinational forces. Participating countries included Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States, among others. Organizers presented the exercise as a way to improve interoperability and readiness for future peace-support, humanitarian-assistance and disaster-relief missions in the Indo-Pacific.
