Main Construction Completed on First 87 Kilometers of Bagakhangai–Khushig Valley–Emeelt Railway
Mongolia’s transport ministry said the main lower- and upper-structure works on the first 87 kilometers of the Bagakhangai–Khushig Valley–Emeelt branch railway were substantially complete. Transport Minister Boris Delgersaikhan inspected the section, which runs west from Bagakhangai district through Sergelen soum in Tuv aimag, and reviewed final work on track quality, compaction and readiness for operation. Contractors that completed their assigned sections have begun transferring equipment and personnel to subsequent parts of the corridor while final inspections continue. No opening date was specified.

The principal construction work on the first 87 kilometers of the Bagakhangai–Khushig Valley–Emeelt branch railway has been substantially completed, according to information carried by DNN.mn. The section begins in Ulaanbaatar’s Bagakhangai district and extends west through Sergelen soum in Tuv aimag.
