Ulaanbaatar Cable-Car Construction Reaches 84 Percent Completion
Construction of Ulaanbaatar’s Yarmag–Kharkhorin cable-car line has reached 84 percent, according to a city project update carried by DNN.mn. Interior work at two stations, utility connections, operating systems and sensor calibration are under way. The 4.2-kilometer line is planned with 98 cabins and capacity for 2,320 passengers per hour. The project is being implemented in two phases with concessional financing from the French government and is intended to diversify public transport, improve access and support lower-emission urban mobility. No revised opening date was stated.
