The government's preliminary harvest balance covers 580,400 hectares planted in 2026. It forecasts 555,300 tonnes of grain, including 497,100 tonnes of wheat, as well as 168,200 tonnes of potatoes, 218,400 tonnes of vegetables, 50,400 tonnes of oil crops and 201,800 tonnes of fodder.

The projected wheat crop is 229,600 tonnes, or 85.8 percent, higher than the previous year; potatoes are projected to rise by 54,100 tonnes, or 47.4 percent. Authorities reported MNT 147.2 billion in concessional loans to 951 borrowers and plans for a 100,000-tonne strategic wheat reserve, produce reserves and five million litres of diesel. Final volumes remain weather- and harvest-dependent.
