Committee supports proposed ADB financing framework

Parliament’s Economic Standing Committee supported consultation on an Asian Development Bank financing framework. Its two components cover budget support and contingent financing for shocks or disasters.

Committee support is one procedural step. The potential US$450 million total should not be described as money already disbursed, and the contingent component is not an automatic expenditure commitment.
