Autumn parliament opens with housing and energy on the agenda

Mongolia’s autumn parliamentary session opened on 15 September. The speaker’s address emphasised mortgage reform, reliable electricity and fuel supplies, major energy projects and stronger accountability.

The opening speech sets a political agenda. Individual bills, appropriations and project decisions still require their own procedures; the address itself does not enact the measures it advocates.
