Mongolia’s Anti-Corruption Agency Reports 1,026 Cases Under Active Investigation
Mongolia’s Independent Authority Against Corruption said its investigators reviewed 56 crime-related complaints and reports from August 3–9. It proposed opening inquiries in nine cases, declining four, and transferring one by jurisdiction, while 42 remained under review. The agency reported investigative work involving 1,038 criminal cases during the period. Recommendations were sent to prosecutors to bring six cases to court, close five and consolidate one, leaving 1,026 cases under active investigation. Allegations remain subject to prosecutorial and judicial review. These operational figures are not final judgments.

The agency said investigative activity covered 1,038 criminal cases. It submitted recommendations to prosecutors to send six cases to court, close five and consolidate one, leaving 1,026 cases under active investigation. The report included allegations involving abuse of office, bribery, conflicts of interest and misuse of funds. All allegations and proposed dispositions remain subject to prosecutorial and judicial procedures.
